About WiseBytes Wiki
This wiki is run by Lisa Wise. I play with wikis and blogs and other online tools, and I like the idea of a wiki as a place for documentation, annotated bibliographies and reminding myself of what I'm reading and what I was thinking when I was reading it. I have moved my research wiki from the now-defunct Online Learning Unit server.
A wiki is a place to play around with ill formed ideas, and dump notes that haven't really found their way into anything more structured. My experience with writing in a wiki is that the closer one gets to properly-structured thoughts, the more likely they are to appear as blog articles or papers. Things are written to wikis in a far less structured "work-in-progress" way than to blogs. LisaWise 08:52, 15 August 2007 (EDT)
