Drugs and Behaviour Laboratory

These pages are demonstration pages of mixed mode deli very for an on-campus course. The curriculum and course structure has changed substantially for 1998, but these pages have been retained here as an example of a particular use of the Web in teaching.

This laboratory will canvass issues examining the effects drug usage and addictions have on behaviour. The physiological, social and legal implications of drug-taking behaviour will be discussed. You will be asked to read the material provided and prepare for a class discussion to be conducted in the afternoon session. This class should be written up in your lab diary.

There will be a newsgroup monash.psych.psy2011.labs forum set up to follow up on the issues raised in class discussions and the debate.

Please note that the newsgroup can be read by anyone at Monash, although only PSY2011 students will be able to contribute to discussions. Personal experience with various drugs (especially of the illegal variety) may well be fascinating and enlightening material, but may be best kept to oneself!
